If you file a bug, you will automatically receive email updates as that bug experiences activity. For instance, if the bug is closed or somebody else adds additional comments to the bug, you'll be notified of this. In some cases, you might want to monitor bugs that other people have filed, typically because you have run into them yourself and you want to know when they get fixed. In such cases, you can add your email address to the Cc field. The easiest way to do this is to check the checkbox following the Additional Comments field and then click the Commit button (assuming you're viewing the bug details).

You can also subscribe to an RSS feed to monitor the status of the bug database. Simply subscribe your RSS reader (Firefox, Thunderbird, etc.) to this link.
