How do I check IPSEC VPN tunnel status?

Hello,

I am trying to set up Vyatta to replace a linksys RV042 which died on me. We had a VPN connection already, and it worked, so I believe that Vyatta can be a good drop-in replacement.

Question is, how do I check if the link is up or down? The linksys had a nice GUI which showed if the link was up, down, connecting...

Is there an easy way to do it in Vyatta?

If the connection is not coming up, how do I set it log/debug?

Thanks

You've got "show vpn ipsec status" and "show vpn ike status" as well
as "show vpn debug" and "show vpn debug detail."

You can enable logging as well under "set vpn ipsec logging."

You'll also find that the VPN doc will serve you well; it's at
http://www.vyatta.org/documentation.

Best,
Justin
