Currently pptpd assigns IPs to clients dynamically. To assign static IP, you'll have to change some configuration files manually. You can try adding the "delegate" option to the pptpd configuration file, /etc/pptpd.conf, which causes pptpd to delegate IP assignment to pppd. Then you should be able to configure pppd to assign IPs by using either RADIUS or chap-secrets. Please let us know if it works for you. Thanks!

As mentioned earlier, currently this is not supported by the Vyatta configuration, but you may be able to achieve this by manually changing the pptpd/pppd configuration files. You can try putting "delegate" into pptpd.conf and then append the IP to the client's entry in chap-secrets for pppd. More details can be found in the pptpd.conf man page and pppd documentation.

previous static IP was gone after configure/commit vyatta

after append the IP to the client's entry in chap-secrets for pppd, I do configure on vyatta, add new user and commit/save.
then I check in chap-secrets, previous static IP was gone. and reset to default again or change to character *.
any solution for this ?
